Plainfield, a city in Union County, New Jersey, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Packaged liquor may be sold between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Packaged beer and wine may be sold at the following times:
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
However, the following exceptions apply:
New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, packaged beer and wine may be sold until 5:00 a.m.
Alcoholic beverages may be served in bars and restaurants at the following times:
- Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
However, the following exceptions apply:
New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, alcoholic beverages may be served until 5:00 a.m.
