Metuchen, a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, packaged liquor may be sold between noon and 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, and between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
Packaged beer and wine may be sold at the following times:
- Sunday: noon to 1:00 a.m.
- Monday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Wednesday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
- Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
However, the following exceptions apply:
New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, packaged beer and wine may be sold until 3:00 a.m.
St. Patrick's Day. When St. Patrick's Day falls on a Sunday, packaged beer and wine may be sold until 2:00 a.m. On the following Monday (March 18), packaged alcoholic beverages may not be sold before noon.
Alcoholic beverages may be served in bars and restaurants at the following times:
- Sunday: noon to 1:00 a.m.
- Monday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
