In Columbus, a city in Lowndes County, Mississippi, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Packaged liquor may be sold between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Packaged beer and wine may be sold at any time (unless restricted by local ordinance).

However, the following exceptions apply:

Christmas. The sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Christmas Day.

Liquor may be served in bars and restaurants between 10:00 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, and between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday.

Beer and wine may be served between 7:00 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, and between 7:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday (unless further restricted by local ordinance).

However, the following exceptions apply:

New Year's Eve. When New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday, alcoholic beverages may be served until 1:00 a.m.
