Under Connecticut state law, packaged alcoholic beverages may be sold between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, and between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

However, the following exceptions apply:

New Year's Day. The sale of packaged alcoholic beverages is prohibited on New Year's Day.

Thanksgiving. The sale of packaged alcoholic beverages is prohibited on Thanksgiving Day.

Christmas. The sale of packaged alcoholic beverages is prohibited on Christmas Day.

Alcoholic beverages may be served in bars and restaurants at the following times:
  • Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Monday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
  • Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
However, the following exceptions apply:

New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, alcoholic beverages may be served until 3:00 a.m.
