In Columbia, a city in Richland County, South Carolina, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Packaged liquor may be sold between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Packaged beer and wine may be sold at any time.

However, the following exceptions apply:

Christmas. The sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Christmas Day.

Liquor may be served in bars and restaurants between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., any day of the week.

Beer and wine may be served at any time except between 2:00 a.m. Saturday night and 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning, or between 2:00 a.m. Sunday night and sunrise on Monday.

However, the following exceptions apply:

Extended Hours. Businesses may not serve beer or wine between 2:00 a.m. and sunrise without first obtaining an extended hours permit from the city. (The table above reflects the hours of sale that apply to businesses that have obtained this permit.)

Christmas. On-premises service of liquor is prohibited on Christmas Day.
