In unincorporated areas in Pitt County, North Carolina, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Packaged liquor may be sold between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Packaged beer and wine may be sold between noon and 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, and between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., Monday through Saturday.

However, the following exceptions apply:

Holidays. The sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on the following days:
  • New Year's Day
  • The Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
