In Columbia, a city in Marion County, Mississippi, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Packaged liquor may be sold between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Packaged beer and wine may be sold at any time (unless restricted by local ordinance).

However, the following exceptions apply:

Christmas. The sale of packaged liquor is prohibited on Christmas Day.

On-premises service of liquor is prohibited on Sunday. Liquor may be served between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between 10:00 a.m. and midnight on Saturday.

Beer and wine may be served between 7:00 a.m. and midnight on Sunday, between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 a.m. and midnight on Saturday (unless further restricted by local ordinance).

However, the following exceptions apply:

New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, alcoholic beverages may be served until 1:00 a.m. When New Year's Eve falls on a Sunday, service of alcoholic beverages containing liquor may begin at 1:00 p.m.
