However, the following exceptions apply:

New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, packaged alcoholic beverages may be sold until 3:00 a.m.

Illinois State Fair. On any night when the Illinois State Fair is in operation, packaged alcoholic beverages may be sold until 3:00 a.m.
