In unincorporated areas in Jones County, Georgia, the sale of packaged liquor is prohibited.

Packaged beer and wine may be sold between 12:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 a.m. and midnight on Saturday.

However, the following exceptions apply:

Christmas. The sale of packaged alcoholic beverages is prohibited on Christmas Day.

On-premises service of liquor is prohibited.

On-premises service of beer and wine is prohibited on Sunday. Beer and wine may be served between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 a.m. and midnight on Saturday.

However, the following exceptions apply:

Election Day. On the day of any federal, state, or local election, alcoholic beverages may not be served until one hour after the polls have closed.

Christmas. On-premises service of alcoholic beverages is prohibited on Christmas Day.
